Might as well properly introduce my Sky OC, aka one of the Main Protagonists of Sky: Balance in Chaos.

The Merlot Captain.

Note: Don’t let the image fool you, he has no Cape Wedges. Any and all capes he wear serve cosmetic purposes. Also, he’s supposed to have Jellyfish Whisperer’s pants but I only have Rainbow trousers :(

Name: Unknown, presumably Paddle

Gender: Male

Nickname/Alias: Torch-bearing Seamoth

Race: Luxinis Ekleipsis (Dying Star Torian)

Type: Star-Marked (Theorized, markings are very unique from others and have been with subject since birth and rebirth. It is assumed to have something to do with the fact he was born from a Dying Star.)

Star-Mark: Darkened, red

Age: 42 (Past Life), 12* (Current Life)

* Subject has temporarily experienced rapid aging, as a side effect of his proper rebirth and rekindling.

D.O.B: January 4th (AURORA-Rememberance time gap)

Appearance: Paddle is a slightly tall Torian boy who’s known for his severe Flame-Blight condition, and his torch which helps deal with said Flame-Blight. His pupils are white due to being born from a dying star, with his eye color changing depending on whether he’s either using his Star-Mark or depending on the amount of flame he has taken in, ranging from Pastel Orange to a faded blue to even a coal black.

Tools/Weapons: Small Bell, Manta Chime (Possessed by a Manta Spirit??), and his iconic Torch. This torch seems to be enchanted, since we can only touch it if he’s okay with it.

Powers/Abilities: Flame-Wielding, an ancient art that seems to be reviving after he was the sole Flame-Wielder. He can hold, transfer, shape, and take in the flame in a variety of ways. Also, his Mark of the Darkened gives him void-based powers.

Weaknesses: Subject suffers from Flame-Blight, a disease that affects the inner light (or flame, in his case), causing it to get weaker. His Flame-Wielding ability can allow him to absorb or leech off of nearby fire to regain energy, but if there’s no flame source, he’s on a countdown to death. Subject can’t take in Winged Light either.

Notes (Made by Arcivo): [Subject shares similarities to the Legend of the beginning of the Kingdom’s fall. The leader of the Ghosts of Eden known as Donovan, the Vengeful Torchbearer. Similarities are:

- Torchbearers

- Known to not sing and is nigh impossible to sync up to

- Has a similar Star-Mark

- Can Wield the Flame

- Hates injustice

- Can’t harness Winged Light

- Fell down violently upon birth

- The color Red

- Dying Star Torians

- No other Torian has knowledge of Braken Traditions as vast as he does

What's the chaosverse?

its a Sonic au i came up with in, like, 2017, building off a lot of my headcanons about the characters and… then kinda just going rampant? as well as having a shitton of OCs in it that mingle w/ the canon cast while also having their own storylines lmao

most of it is redesigns and things like that:

as well as some game plotlines going in a totally different direction than canon, eg Forces being rebuilt from the ground up, Lost World taking place as part of Colours (and Tails getting permanently modified), Zero Gravity having an OC team as the primary focus rather than Team Sonic (although theyre still involved), etc

there’s also a lot of messing around with backstories and identities; Sonic’s a trans girl and has some relevance to Project: Shadow, and most of the cast (both canon and OC) is LGBT+ and/or neurodivergent because im LGBT+ and neurodivergent so it kinda just… ends up like that.

i havent really done much with it, but i started an askblog @askchaosverse and ive been drawing some comics and ive made attempts at fanfic that i havent shared bc of being extremely incomplete. the actual story stuff is named Checkpoint, w/ Chaosverse being the setting it all takes place in, but… i usually just end up using CV to refer to Checkpoint and the setting interchangeably. :,)

im not totally sure what im gonna do with all of these ideas just yet but AskCV is a good starting point :>

The Shadowed Light.

Things to note: This isn’t completely accurate to the design I had in mind but it’s close enough. He’s supposed to have Bowing Medalist hair, Prairie Shield thing, and the Remembrance memory cell thing. Scolding Student mask is preferred.

Name: Unknown, referred to as “Ingo”* by others

*Name means “The Deceptive” in Tenebrin

Gender: Male

Nickname/Alias: The Wandering Narrator

Race: Noxix Tenebris (Braken, which is a rough translation of "Siblings of the Dark")

Type: Shade-walker (Dark Shadow based)

Age: 38 (Past Life), 19 (Current Life)

D.o.B: August 13 (Gratitude Period)

Appearance: Ingo is a young Braken adult who's well-known for his immersive storytelling gig. Rarely fights, but if he does, he doesn't abuse the memory Lantern's abilities. He's friends with the Light Scholar and the Oddball Outcast, Abrek.

Tools/Weapons: The Prairie Elder's Blessing. Also the aforementioned Memory Lantern.

Powers/Abilities: Has control of Psychic Magic (Purple Light) and like a lot of Braki, Void Magic (Red Light). Able to make his projections tangible via Illusion Magic. He also has enhanced strength, speed, and endurance due to being a Braken.

Weaknesses: Like all Braki, they need to consume light, so prolong absence will result in Starvation and/or insanity. He's less durable and powerful than normal Braki, due to his thinner scales and straighter claws. Also, Light Magic.

Notes (Made by Arcivo): [Ingo? He's a fickle case. He's only known for his occasional story telling, and other than that and his frequent Valley Visits, little is known about him. But rumor has it he was an Ancestor alive after the Era of Conflict who died from an unknown source. He was known to be heavily spiteful of the Tenebri, and yet ended up reincarnating as a Braken, which.. raises some questions.

How is this possible? Was it done out of spite by the first Avatar of the Flame? The Greater Void?

Could this phenomenon happen to other Torians? Could.. cross-species reincarnation happen the other way, where Braki can be reborn as Torians..? If so, this could change a lot. I’ll have to check the Vault of Knowledge for information about this later.]

Another day another Sky: Balance in Chaos protagonist! Based on Sigma from Overwatch (the game still sucks)

The Unstable Recorder.

Things to note: She can wear the Light-Catcher’s mask in this outfit. She’s also supposed to have a bag of scrolls indicated by duets posters (whichever one) but had to use moments camera :( It’s not shown, but she has 12 Wing Charges.

Name: Kimako* (Formerly the Dauntless Astrophysicist)

* Name means “the Secretive” in Tenebrin

Gender: Female

Nickname/Alias: The Quiet Archivist, The Propagandist

Race: Luxinis Novalis (Torian, or more commonly known, Sky-kids)

Type: Revived Ancestor

Age: 57 (Past Life), 15 (Current Life)

D.o.B: Sept 22 (Sanctuary-Prophecy time gap)

Appearance: Kimako is a teenage Torian girl who’s commonly known for always being seen with a bag of scrolls, books and other written media and watching things from afar. She often keeps her eyes closed to, and I quote, “not overwhelm her senses”. When doing her Archivist duties, she often wears a more discreet outfit (As seen below).

Tools/Weapons: Although overshadowed by the book she always carries, she has several daggers and a Fan Blade. How she got her hands on these weapons is unclear, though I assume she haggled for them.

Powers/Abilities: Has possession of Moon-based abilities due to an experiment gone wrong in her previous life. She can harness the Blue Moon’s Harmony, the Blood Moon’s Hostility, and the Eclipse’s Duality.

Weaknesses: Said powers are highly unstable and violate, forcing her to use them in small amounts unless the situation is dire. This is probably why she has her eyes closed, as the energy she took in might have heavily affected her senses.

Notes (Made by Arcivo): [Ah yes, Kimako. Some say she’s the way she is from pride, but that’s not the case. She was once an astrophysicist interested on how the moon affected life for Torians and Braki decades after the fall of the kingdom. So one night, on a Super Moon, she tried to harness the moon’s power with a Darkness Shard, Photolite, and a Blue Moon Shard (how did she obtained these, I have no idea). She quickly realized why dangerous phenomena are deemed as such.

The three energies reacted violently with each other and the Supermoon phenomenon, causing direct exposure and mutation. The unstable energies drove her mad, and ultimately, killed her.

I have no idea how she still has these powers in her current life, but it’s safe to assume that it affected her light so much, it’s now a part of it.]
